I attended Digital Construction Week at Excel in London a few weeks back.
Amazing how the show has grown and developed over the last few years.
I was struck by the number, breadth and depth of exhibitors there.
Covering all aspects of digital across the Built Environment.
I wondered how many of these firms existed even a few years ago, and more importantly how many will survive and flourish and still be here in five years time?
Evolutionary times indeed!
And I wondered about the Millennials, the tail end of GenY, GenZ and beyond.
How can they possibly deal with all this? How can they focus? What will they concentrate on?
The technology is mushrooming exponentially.
We already have information overload, but it increases day upon day.
So what will the Millennials do? It is their dilemma and their challenge.
Do they focus and become niche players and experts? Do they remain generalists knowing less and less about more and more stuff? Someone needs to hold and pull this together? Or perhaps they don’t?
Let’s see how they do.
What will you do?
